Tangier to Merzouga Desert Tour via Fes (5 Days)

Tangier – Chefchaouen

1. Pick-up from your accommodation or the port in Tangier.
2. Drive through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen.
3. Explore the charming blue-painted streets, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and local shops in Chefchaouen.
4. Overnight stay in a riad or hotel in Chefchaouen.

Chefchaouen – Fes

1. Morning departure to Fes.
2. Stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis for a self-guided visit.
3. Continue to Meknes, where you’ll see Bab Mansour and El-Hedim Square.
4. Arrival in Fes in the late afternoon.
5. Overnight stay in Fes.

Fes – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

1. Guided tour of Fes, exploring the medina, Al Quaraouiyine University, tanneries, and historic landmarks.
2. Depart for Merzouga, driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains with stops at: Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland.”
3. Azrou Cedar Forest, where you may see Barbary macaques.
4. Continue through the Ziz Valley to Merzouga.
5. Evening arrival in Merzouga.
6. Enjoy a camel trek into the desert dunes for a stunning sunset view.

Merzouga – Return Journey or Optional Exploration
